Thai Bodywork
Thai Bodywork (also known as Nuad Borarn in Thailand or Thai Yoga Massage in the west) has its roots in Buddhism, Ayurveda, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Thai Bodywork is practiced with the client fully clothed on a mat on a floor with both giver and receiver barefoot. The practitioner works in a meditative state while applying a series of compressions, kneading, stretching, and other assisted movements (often yoga postures) using their hands, feet, elbows, and knees. The goal is to balance the body physically and energetically by working on the ten major sen (energy) lines on the body.
