Inhale...Exhale...Breathe Well
Our most frequently asked question...Who benefits from Halotherapy (Salt Therapy)?
The Answer? ANYONE THAT BREATHES!
Imagine Halotherapy or Dry Salt Therapy as a toothbrush for your lungs. From babies to the elderly, everyone can take advantage of the benefits of Halotherapy. We are pleased to introduce the HaloIR Dry Salt Infrared Sauna to our clients at Mellow Massage Wellness Center. Regularly help remove the countless environmental pollutants that we breathe in daily by visiting us for a Dry Salt treatment in our beautiful new Halotherapy Infrared Sauna..
The HaloIR offers Halotherapy, Infrared heat (sauna), meditation, and Chromotherapy (light therapy). The HaloIR booth is made of non-toxic materials and uses Medical grade (pharmaceutical grade) salt - pure sodium chloride with all impurities, debris and trace minerals removed.
Halotherapy was originally “discovered” in the 1800’s in Eastern Europe when doctors realized that salt miners didn’t suffer as often from respiratory and skin conditions as others in the same communities. These doctors began to “prescribe” visits to the salt mines and at some point the mines even carved out separate areas for this original Halotherapy.
Halotherapy is an all natural approach to healing with a 75-95% efficacy rate. The treatment uses Pharmaceutical grade salt. The salt is ground to micro particles and dispersed into an enclosed environment through a state-of the art halogenerator. Dry salt draws out impurities in the skin and lungs, kills microbes, and helps with inflammation both in the airway and on the skin.
Respiratory Benefits of Halotherapy & Infrared Sauna
As you breathe the dry microscopic salt particles deep into your lungs, the salt particles line the walls of your airway, helping kill bacteria and viruses, and aiding in clearing mucus out of the respiratory tract, allowing you to breathe easier. The salt works as a “toothbrush” for your airways. Just as we brush our teeth on a regular basis to prevent build up, regular Halotherapy visits will help provide ongoing clearing of toxins and mucus.
Medical studies in Europe have proven that the benefits of Halotherapy are cumulative. Many adults and children with asthma, allergies, cystic fibrosis, COPD and other respiratory conditions have found that Halotherapy sessions 2-3 times a week can help manage respiratory problems and reduce the intake of certain medications. The result is having more vitality and energy while being relaxed and having an increased ability to focus on daily tasks.
