Yoga Class Descriptions
All-Levels Hatha Yoga
A moderate practice which includes traditional asana (poses) held for long durations, enabling focus on the breath.Particular emphasis will be on standing postures and abdominal work.All classes will end with a systematic, guided relaxation. This class is most appropriate for those who have some experience with yoga––but beginners are welcome to jump in!
All-Levels Vinyasa Yoga
This class is a dynamic and creative blend of ease, flexibility, strength and power. We incorporate yoga asana (poses), breath, and meditation to facilitate a deeply integrated Yoga experience. With the use of proper alignment and creative sequencing we weave together a unique practice. This practice is designed to link breath with movement while opening, twisting, bending, and ultimately finding stillness at the end of your practice. Our instructors offer variations for poses to match the level of each student.
All-Levels Yoga
Spending a lot of time on the floor in this class we move at a slow to moderate pace to facilitate time for proper alignment and good firm instruction. This class is excellent for the beginner or advanced student and combines hatha and restorative yoga.
Yoga & Meditation
In Classical yoga, meditation is considered to be the ultimate goal of the practice. This gentle hatha yoga class will prepare the body for meditation. In addition to traditional asana, you will learn seated postures, yogic breathing (pranayama) and systematic relaxation techniques. All classes will end with approximately 15 minutes of seated meditation. This class is appropriate for all levels––from beginner to advanced.
Yoga Fundamentals
This is a beginner sequenced gentle class. The instructor moves slowly to facilitate time for proper alignment and good firm direction.This class is excellent for the beginner student or someone who wants to work more gently.Focus on breathing and meditation make this class extra Mellow!
